SOL 261-150-99 DUE 012799 POC Josefina Ledezma, 650 493-5000 extension 64100 VISN 21 Consolidated Contracting Activity (CCA) intends to negotiate an interim contract for the Sierra Pacific Network (VISN 21), with Professional Hospital Supply to continue with the Distributor Agreement for Medical/Surgical products. This interim contract will allow the CCA to develop a long term Full and Open Competition solicitation for VISN 21 facilties not participating in the National Acquisition Center (NAC) solicitation. This will also allow the NAC to solicit and award a contract for those VISN 21 facilties currently participating in the NAC solicitation. The Sierra Pacific Network wishes to continue with the contractual relationship with Profesional Hospital Supply to avoid disruption of service and substantial cost to the Government associated with the implementation of a distributor agreement. Facilities in the Sierra Pacific Network and Professional Hospital Supply have devoted an enormous amount of time and resources to establish and implement a medical/surgical supply distribution system. Disruption of this arrangement will impact patient care, our entire operation and would be more costly to the government as a whole.
