Ganoe, Contracting Officer, 256-955-8114 Sources Sought -- The U.S.
Army Aviation and Missile Command is conducting a market survey in
conjunction with a Pre-Solicitation conference to determine interest in
the purchase of excess Allison Model 250-C30 R and R1 engines
previously flown in the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior fleet of Helicopters.
There are approximately 61 engines available at this time for purchase,
however, a total of 329 engines may be available for purchase over the
next six (6) years due to an ongoing fleet upgrade program. These
engines will be sold in an as is/where is condition with no warranty
either express or implied as to acceptability for use in any commercial
or military application. It is anticipated that the above engines will
be grouped in lots for sale as they become available from the fleet
upgrade program and will be available for inspection only at that time.
No engines are available for sale or inspection at this time as this is
only a request for sources interested in the purchase of these engines.
A Pre-Solicitation Conference will be held on February 4, 1999 on
Redstone Arsenal, Building 5250, Room A-115, from 1300 hours to 1500
