Solicitation DAJA22-99-R-0004 has been issued (07 Jan 99). An Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract with firm fixed unit prices is intended for the contract award. The required translator services are in support of the U.S. peacekeeping efforts in the Balkans (to include extensive interpreting, translation of documents from target language into English or vice versa, as well as providing written documents and notices such as reports, transcripts, posters, and/or signs). The primary target languages are: Serbian-Croatian, Hungarian and Macedonia. Other languages that may be required are: Albanian, Bulgarian, Czech, Greek, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Slovenian, Turkish, Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, and Swedish. A cost reimbursement line item for certain costs such as transportation and the provision of otherwise Government-provided supplies/services is included. DD Form 254, "Contract Security Classification Specification", specifies the required clearances up to TOP SECRET with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) and an accredited secure facility within contractor's home office for necessary discussions at the TS/SCI level. For those offerors remaining in the competitive range after the required Capability Statements are evaluated, the technical/management proposal shall be presented orally. The contract will be for a base six months period, with five (5) six month options for extension. The solicitation will be available in our web site only, unless hard copy is requested in writing.
