NASA/JSC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) on a sole source basis for renewal of Advanced Scheduling Environment (ASE) Software Solution Support. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA /JSC intends to purchase the Advanced Scheduling Environment Software Solution Support Services from Manugistics, Inc. This recommendation is made pursuant to FAR 13.106-2(5), for the acquisition of supplies or services determined to be reasonably available from only one source. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. The SIC code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 7372 and $18M, average annual receipts in the past 3 years respectively. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. Interested firms have 15 days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualification/capabilities will be used soley for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the 15 days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A deterrmination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
