Starkey, Contract Specialist, (202) 324-0564 This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)Part 12 in conjunction with the policies and procedures for solicitation, evaluation and award prescribed in FAR Part 15, FAR Subpart 16.504 and supplemented with additional information included in this solicitation. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Proposal(RFP)7263, and incorporate all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-09. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 5043 and Business Size standard is 100 employees. The Government anticipates the award of a Firm Fixed-Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract (ID/IQ)on a sole source basis with Nikon, and/or their authorized distributors, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(4)(c), it has been determine that only specified makes and models (brand name) will satisfy the agency requirements and only one source is available. This ID/IQ Contract will be for twelve (12)months with four (4)one-year option years. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has a requirement to purchase Nikon 35mm photographic equipment and supplies. Specific-makes/models and specifications will be provided in the solicitation package. All photographic equipment must be 100% compatible with the Nikon equipment, lenses, and accessories currently in the FBI inventory. Deliveries shall be FOB-Destination -- Washington, D.C.
