76 -- PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS/EDUCATION SUPPLIES AND SERVICES FOR SIX SCIENCE COURSES FOR GRADES 9-12. SOL MDA414-99-R-0002 DUE 031699 POC Camille M. Melton (804-327-0542) or Jan H. Matthews (804-327-0540) 1. Provide instructional materials for a DoDEA 9-12 Science Program for the Department of Defense Dependents Schools System. 2. MDA414-99-R-0002 is due 16 Mar 99. 3. Contractors will be required to submit student textbooks or equivalents, teachers editions of student texts, teacher resource packages, assessment materials for the program, and technological and multimedia materials, if any, as well as provide professional support services for teachers, coordinators, and administrators; all of which shall be evaluated by the Government. 4. One or more awards will be made for six 9-12 science courses as follows: (1) Introduction to Physics, (2) Chemistry Applications in the Community, (3) Marine Biology, (4) Astronomy, (5) Human Anatomy & Physiology, and (6) Science, Technology, & Society. 5. Contractors must submit one complete set of sample materials for each course offering bid on. Materials will be evaluated for: (1) correlation with the Department of Defense Dependents Schools Science content standards, (2) quality of the assessment materials, (3) fair and equal treatment of diverse students. Contractors may submit more than one proposal; however, each proposal must be independently submitted and will be independently evaluated. 6. Contractors shall not submit any science instructional materials for review to schools, teachers, coordinators, or other employees of the Department of Defense Education Activity or Department of Defense Dependents Schools during this solicitation phase. 7. The contract(s) will be requirements type. Performance period is estimated as a base period and four 12-month option periods. 8. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. 9. The proposed solicitation is expected to be issued approximately 04 Feb 99. The solicitation will address submission of proposals, including time, date, and mailing instructions.
