This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation is a Request for Quotes, #6108. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. SIC code is 3861; small business size standard is 500 employees or less. Line Item #01 Furnish vector contour data themes. We currently possess sixty four USGS contour positive quads on a stable base mylar. The acquisition is to have these contour quads scanned and returned along with a digital copy of the vectorized contour lines. Scanning each mylar contour quad will bea minimum of 300 dpi on a full size scanner. Composite scanning of a mylar quad will not be accepted. The scan will include and use a full capture of all contour lines including all supplementary contour lines for use in the digital product. The scanned quads will be converted to Arc/Info vectorized coverage and properly attributed with foot elevations on each contour line and edgematched to the adjacent quads. The other digital product needed is derived from the vector contour data. A 10 meter DEM coverage for each of the six district units on the Kisatchie National Forest. The data is to be delivered on CDROMs, in a Arc/Info format using the NAD83 Louisiana North stateplane projection. The vectorized quad contour lines can be combined and delivered in a mosaic to match each of the six district units used for the 10 meter DEM coverage.
