Estimated Monthly Supply Potential -- 1,457. In accordance with
Military Specification MIL-S-83318A dated March 27, 1991. QPL
QUALIFICATION REQUIRED; QPL-83318-6 dated November 19, 1993 or later
letter of qualification. Class A-1/6: suitable for brush application,
10 minute work life Size: Size: 3.5 fl oz base and required amount of
curing agent in a 6 oz sectionalized, extrusion cartridge conforming to
Military Specification MIL-S-38714B, Sealant Cartridge for Two
Component Materials, dated May 15, 1987. There shall be no interaction
chemically or physically with the contents which would damage the
container or alter the strength, quality, or purity of the contents.
Each filled cartridge shall be sealed in an appropriate type
bag/envelope. The cartridges shall be closed in a manner that insures
the contents shall not spill or leak during shipment, handling,
storage, and redistribution. Shelf life code: 2 (6 months). Maximum age
on delivery: 1 month. EXCEPTION(S) TO TECHNICAL DOCUMENT -- 1. Para.
2.2, line 8, delete: "AMS 3100 Adhesion Promotor for Polysulfide
Sealing Compounds". 2. Para. 5.1.1.1, line 9, delete: "Sufficient
adhesion promotor in a glass vial will be provided with each
sectional-type container." ITEM MARKING -- Each item shall be marked
with the following: (1) lot or batch number; (2) dates of manufacture
and reinspection; (3) manufacturer's name and part number; (4)
instructions for use, thinning, mixing, shaking, etc.; (5) instructions
for storage, i.e. do not freeze, requires refrigeration, etc. PACKAGING
-- Twenty-four (24) injection cartridges packaged as described above
shall be further packed in a close-fitting, corrugated fiberboard box
conforming to Section 6(a), Rule 41 of the Uniform Freight
Classification and Item 222 of the National Motor Freight
Classification (200 minimum burst). Closure of the boxes shall be in
accordance with Section 7 of Rule 41 of the Uniform Freight
Classification. Gross weight of the box and contents shall not exceed
65 pounds. MARKING -- Standard Marking shall be in accordance with
FED-STD-123G, dated June 6, 1997; and shall include environmental,
precautionary and/or hazardous marking required by law or regulation
governing product use, transportation, shipping, stocking and storage.
