Scope of work: This project will replace the existing HVAC distribution system throughout Building 22, Research. The building recently had the main air handler replaced and central chilled water run to the system. Primary heat is through the central steam distribution system. As the facility currently is 100% fresh air and through various fume hoods located in the lab spaces. This project will examine the current system, propose alternative HVAC methods and systems, and design a final replacement system. Consideration will be given to energy efficiency and life cycle cost of the proposed systems. Construction cost range is between $100,000 and $250,000. See number Note 24. SIC 8712 Architectural Services applies to this procurement. This procurement is an Emerging Small Business Set-Aside. Firms grossing over $1.25 million for the past 3 years will not be eligible per FAR subpart 19.10. Area of consideration is within a 200 mile radius of the Medical Center.
