Fixtures; b. Plumbing Trim; c. Appliances; d. Water Heaters/Boilers; e. Water Conditioning Equipment; f. Pipe & Tubing; g. Pipe & Tube Fittings; h. Valves; i. Pumps; j. Drainage Specialties; k. Hose Specialties; l. Specialties; m. Fasteners/Accessories. Categories are based upon industry standards. It is anticipated that the resulting contract will have a one year base period, with four one-year options, and be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Requirements type Contract. A breakout of items under each category will be provided with the solicitation package. This contract will be awarded under the Small Procurement Electronic Data Interchange (SPEDI) Program. The SPEDI Program utilizes electronic ordering using Government developed software. Delivery of items must occur within 1-5 days, with an emphasis on 1 day delivery. Payment occurs within 10 days. Items will be ordered electronically by authorized users and received by the Contractor via a personal computer capable of File Transfer Protocol (FTP) communications or VAN Access. FTP communications is preferable. The Contractor will receive electronic orders and transmit electronic shipping notifications using ANSI X12 Electronic Data Interchange standards. The successful Contractor will be required to verify ability to meet the 1-5 day delivery requirement. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be released on or about 01 March 1999 and close 45 days thereafter. All responsive and responsible Contractors are encouraged to request a copy of the RFP before the closing date.
