Picard, Jr., Contract Specialist (732)532-1981 The U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) anticipates issuing a solicitation for ACEWS, a classified nonstandard Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Security Assistance Management Directorate program for the design, engineering, fabrication, integration, test, fielding, spares and support of a mobile army communications electronic warfare system and simulation environment. Options for additional systems are anticipated. This is a Commercial Off-The-Shelf/Nondevelopmental Item (COTS/NDI) requirement for the Taiwan Army. It is proposed that a DRAFT solicitation will be published on the CECOM Business Opportunity Page (BOP) in approximately two weeks, and will consist of the Statement Of Work (SOW) and Sections L&M. The Performance Specification is a classified document. Preparation of proposals, and performance under this effort, will require access to classified documents. Prospective bidders require SECRET facility clearances. To be cleared for a facility clearance, prospective bidders mustprovide the contracting office, in writing, with complete facility addresses and cage codes. This acquisition will be solicited on a competitive negotiated basis. The proposed contract type is a hybrid Firm Fixed Price for hardware and Time & Materials for services and support.
