NASA/LaRC is hereby soliciting information for potential sources for the design, fabrication, testing, and delivery of high pressure air storage vessels. These pressure vessels will be components of the Central High Pressure Air Distribution System at NASA/LaRC. These vessels are required to be delivered not later than January 1, 2000. The specifications for this requirement are attached. Potential offerors are requested to submit the following information: 1. A complete description of vessels typically provided by your firm. 2. A fabrication and delivery plan for the vessels that would allow delivery to the site by the date specified above. 3. Project management plan which will be utilized to ensure deliveries are on schedule. 4. Impact statement with respect to the fabrication and delivery plan for any delay of contract award past the assumed date in the plan. 5. Any alternative concepts with respect to fabrication, delivery, etc., that would improve the delivery schedule and/or reduce cost. 6. A description of installation work typically provided by your firm or your subcontractor(s), if applicable. 7. Any comments or questions on the attached specifications. 8. List of customers for whom you have provided the vessels of the type required by the Government during the past 5 years. Include agency or firm, point of contact, address, and phone number. Also, provide description of work/product provided, contract number and contract value. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in the CBD and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor these cites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code for this procurement is 3443 with a size standard of 500 employees. Responses must include the following: name and address of firm, size of business; average annual revenue for past 3 years and number of employees; ownership; whether they are large, small, small disadvantaged 8 (a),woman owned, or HUBzone small business.
