The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is seeking prospective offerors capable of providing inspection, testing and maintenance of the Bureau's Fire Protection Systems in the Main Building and Annex Building. The Main Building is a six (6) story structure and the Annex Building is a ten (10) story structure, both totaling approximately 1.6 million square feet of space. The Contractor shall repair any deficiencies in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, codes and standards. The Contractor shall provide monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual and multi-year fire protection system inspection, testing and maintenance required by current NFPA Code for the following: Automatic Sprinklers Systems; Standpipe and Hose Systems; Fire Pumps; and Water Supply Systems. The BEP will provide Main Building and Annex Building Sprinkler and Standpipe Drawings as well as Main Building and Annex Building Fire Pump Drawings. Interested businesses capable of providing this service should submit sufficient data in order for the Government to determine the company's capability. This data shall be submitted to Mrs. Joan C. Smoot at the above address on or before February 22, 1999. In addition to seeking potential sources, the BEP is conducting Market Research to determine the commercial availability of this service. As a result, a Commercial Item Questionnaire has been prepared to aid in this Market Research.
