TACOM-ARDEC is seeking administrative and technical support in the
execution of the Anti-Personnel Landmine Alternative (APLA) program.
Personnel would be co-located with the technical program office within
the Fire Support Armaments Center (FSAC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. The
administrative assistant would support a group of 6-10 people and
responsibilities would include the following: coordinate and setup
meetings, make travel arrangements, maintain office calendar, prepare
and distribute meeting minutes, maintain contract files, track action
item register/coordinate data, track and analyze in-house funding
expenditures, and type correspondence for OSD and high- level
government offices. The responsibilities for technical/engineering
support would include the following: coordinate multi-agency
requirements for military communication systems, develop unique
electrical circuitry for long- term use in military environment,
provide technical support for milestone decision process, generate unit
production cost estimate and tracking procedure, provide test and
evaluation support to include data collection/analysis and
origination/maintenance of test planning documentation, and comparison
and analysis of competing design attributes for the purpose of
downselection to a single concept (must be willing to sign
non-disclosure agreement). The ideal candidate is a firm that is detail
oriented, yet able to provide superior support to a high visibility
program under a compressed program schedule/milestones. FSAC
contemplates conducting 15-30 minute telephone interviews with
potential candidates that will focus on the firm s ability to meet
their requirements. Interested parties should be ready to
discuss/demonstrate their experience and knowledge as related to the
above responsibilities. Firms should be ready to address their
capability to provide quality support to a demanding customer. Past
experience with similar programs is important. If applicable, provide
a list of current GSA contracts for similar support. Firms should
