Blanks shall be manufactured in accordance with MIL-S-23284A. Material Class Requirements include Classes 1, 2 and 4; Surface finish in accordance with SAE-J-448A. Ultrasonic and Magnetic Particle Testing shall be performed in accordance with Appendix A of MIL-S-23284A over the entire length of each forging produced; Dimension Inspection to be performed in accordance with applicable data sheets; Chemical analysis, mechanical properties, and 3 charpy V-notch tests shall be performed on each heat that produces shaft blanks. It is intended to award a firm-fixed price, requirements type contract for a base year and four (4) option years. Delivery of blanks shall be made within approximately 120 calendar daysafter receipt of a delivery order. Delivery shall be made F.O.B. Destination to U.S.C.G.
