C -- A/E SERVICES FOR BOILER UPGRADES SOL 637-31-99 DUE 032399 POC David Thomsett 838-299-5830 Provide site investigation, design and construction period services for project 637-98-114 "Boiler Upgrades" at this VA Medical Center. It is the intent of this project to rebuild/replace the structural casings and replace the refractories in three boilers. Additionally, the boiler tubes are to be removed, pressure washed, inspected and replaced as needed. Flame safeguards are also to be installed if funding permits. The design and contract documents shall be prepared in accordance with VA and NFPA Standards. The estimated construction cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000. This acquisition is set-aside for emerging small businesses under SIC 8712, and is subject to the availability of funds. An emerging small business is defined as a business whose size is no greater than 50 percent of the numerical size standard applied to the SIC code. The numerical size standard for SIC 8712 is $2.5 milion. All interested parties should submit two copies of forms SF 254/255 to the above address.
