The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska intends to procure a Tower Tech Cooling Tower, Model PTEF-288,319, direct forced draft, counter flow, fiberglass modular cooling tower, consisting of no more than 4 cells, or equal. This is intended as a sole source procurement from Miller Mechanical, Des Moines, Iowa, a Tower Tech distributor. The Omaha VA ESPC contractor will be responsible for coordination of delivery and installation of the cooling tower. This acquistion will be conducted under FAR Part 12 for commercial services and award will be made 20 days after publication of this notice. Salient characteristics of the cooling tower include tower fans shall be located on the underside of the tower, all structural members shall be stainless steel, spray nozzles shall distribute water in a square pattern and be both self cleaning and self adjusting, drift eliminators shall consist of single row self spacing, rigid PVC blades so as to force three changes of air direction, and unitshall be factory pre-assembled.
