13 -- GLOBAL DEMILITARIZATION SYMPOSIUM & EXHIBITION The Joint Ordnance Comanders Group (JOCG)and the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) will conduct the 7th Annual Global Demilitarization Symposium & Exhibition, May 17-20, 1999 at the Tulsa Convention Center In Tulsa, Oklahoma. The symposium is organized to promote and ensure linkage among the various global efforts directed at solving the challenges of demilitarization and disposal of energetic materials. Participation by industry, academia, government, and international personnel is encouraged to foster cooperation in finding solutions to these challenges. The Global Demilitarization Symposium will consist of an Advanced Planning Briefing for Industry (APBI) on the U.S. Government's initiatives in this area, presentations on demilitarization methodology/execution, and emerging technologies proposed by leading experts. A tour of the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant (MCAAP) and the new Defense Ammunition Center (DAC) facilities in McAlester, OK will be offered Friday, May 21, 1999.
