Office, Contract@nist.gov. The National Institute of Standards and
Technology (NIST), Electricity Division intends to negotiate on a sole
source basis with Data Proof, 1177 S. De Anza Blvd., San Jose, CA
95129 for Two (2) each: Model 320AR OPT3 32 Channel Four-Terminal
Guarded Scanner, Rack Mount and five hundred forty four (544) feet:
Longer cables (Additional cabling to make lead length 10 Feet for each
output cable). These low-thermal guarded scanners implement a guard
circuit design that was developed collaboratively by Data Proof and
NIST researchers to meet a measurement need for low-thermal guarded
switching in automated guarded DC resistance levels up to 100G. These
low-thermal guarded scanners are now commercially manufactured by Data
Proof as an off -the-shelf product. These scanners will be used to
replace unguarded low-thermal scanners that are used in the Ring Method
calibration system. The new guarded scanners will be 100% compatible
with existing software used to control the instrumentation,
specifically the old unguarded scanners, of the Ring Method calibration
system. The delivery for this requirement is estimated to be 5 weeks
after receipt of order. FOB: Origin No solicitation package will be
issued. A Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued to Data Proof. The
contractor is the only source for this instrumentation because
instrumentation must be fully compatible with the existing systems
currently being used in the NIST Laboratories. The vendor manufacturer
can meet the requirement for a fully guarded scanner with low thermal
noise (20nV) and guarding that permits resistance measurements to the
100 G level. The anticipated award date of the contract is on or around
30 days from the date of this notice. In accordance with FAR 5.207 (e)
(3), Numbered Note 22 DOES NOT APPLY and Numbered Note 26 Does Apply.
