The United States Air Force is requesting quotes for furnishing all tools, materials, labor, supervision, and transportation necessary to provide a fire system to include water service, piping, and alarms to Bldg 1608, Automotive Hobby Shop, Hanscom AFB, MA. in accordance with statement of work. The scope of this project includes complete analysis, design and construction of a wet pipe sprinkler system for a 5000 (approximate) square foot facility. The principle items of work include, but are not limited to: analysis of available water supply including hydrant flow test, verification of proper occupancy and design approach to be utilized, determination of sprinkler main, cross mains, riser and branch sizes, preparation of shop drawings as well as sprinkler spacing and design of various appurtenances associated with a wet pipe sprinkler system. The contractor shall provide a qualified fire protection engineer to perform these services. The period of performance for this project shall be one hundred (100) calendar days. An exclusionary period will not be applied to the work. The magnitude of construction for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The site visit is scheduled on or about the 29th of March. All interested parties MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database in order to receive an award.
