This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation/RFQ for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The purpose of this procurement is to replace the 40 ton water cooled air conditioning plant located at NASA Ames Research Center, building N230. The development of drawings is required to accomplish this replacement which will be done in accordance with a PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT (PWS). Work to be performed will be under the Service Contract Act, Wage Determination No. 94-2061, Revision No.10, dated 6/22/98, in response dated August 25,1998, by the Department of Labor to Notice of Intention to make a Service Contract and Response to Notice No. A2106327. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-10. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 7623 and $5.0M, respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery to Ames Research Center is required within 90 days ARO. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C3. Quotations for the items(s) described above may be mailed or faxed to: Michael J. Addendum to FAR 52.212.1 is as follows: Compliance with Veteran's Employment Reporting Requirements (February 1999) By submission of its offer, the offeror represents that, if it is subject to the reporting requirements of 37 U.S.C. 4212(d)(i.e., the VETS-100 report required by Federal Acquisition Regulation clause 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era), it has submitted themost recent report required by 37 U.S.C. 4212(d). If the end product(s) quoted is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the quoter shall so state and shall list the country of origin.
