A -- DEVELOPMENT OF A SIMULATION USING MATLAB SOFTWARE SOL DAAD17-99-Q-0473 DUE 040899 POC Edna Wilson, Contract Specialist, 301-394-4011; Beth Smith, Contracting Officer, 301-394-3371 The contractor shall extend an existing proprietary simulation of the maximum algorithm based on analytical expressions and models provided by the Army monitor. The simulation shall use MATLAB software. The contractor shall prepare simulation diskettes and the necessary documentation to enable the Army monitor to understand, modify, and run the simulation. The simulation shall include as outs the spatial probability, as functions of the number of users in cellular network or peer-to-peer network. In the cellular network, both forward and reveres links shall be treated. The Army monitor shall provide other system details. The contractor shall complete the work within nine (9) months of the award of the contract. This is intended to be awarded on a sole source basis to Cubic Defense Systems, San Diego, CA. Cubic Defense Systems already has created a proprietary computer program in the MATLAB language that does most of the desired simulation. The remaining task is to extend this program so that the performance effects of array rotation and the time variation of received signal amplitudes can be assessed quantitatively. Responsible sources may submit bid, proposal or quotation by facsimiles to Edna Wilson, (301) 394-4910, which shall be considered by the agency. No telephone requests will be honored.
