Regulatory Commission (NRC) has a requirement for a contractor to
provide technician-level maintenance support for the four full-scope,
nuclear power plant simulators presently located at the Technical
Training Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and any additional
simulators which may be installed by the NRC. The simulators replicate
the Babcock and Wilcox, General Electric, Combustion Engineering, and
Westinghouse reactor designs. Support is required in the areas of
preventive and corrective maintenance, spare parts purchase and
accountability, vendor support, hardware modifications, and hardware
configuration management control. Equipment maintained will include
control panel hardware, video displays, input/output, and computer
systems and their peripherals. The period of performance is one year
with four one year options. Proposals for this requirement may be
submitted by all concerns, i.e., large businesses, small businesses,
and small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically
disadvantaged individuals. Notice to large businesses: The
subcontracting plan requirements of P.L. 95-507 are applicable to this
effort. Thus, all large businesses determined to be in the competitive
range must be prepared to submit a detailed subcontracting plan. A
source list comprising the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of
all concerns requesting a copy of the solicitation, with large
businesses identified by an asterisk, will be provided with the
solicitation. In order to identify large businesses on the list, a
request for the solicitation should indicate the size of the business
based upon a SIC code of 7378. The size standard for this solicitation
is $18,000,000 average annual receipts over the last three years. In
order to allow small business concerns sufficient time to contact you
for possible subcontracting opportunities, you are encouraged to make
your request for the solicitation prior to the solicitation issuance
date. A copy of the solicitation and all subsequent amendments will be
provided to each requester. Interested firms should submit written
requests to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission at the address shown
above. Telephone requests will not be honored. Closing date for
