The National Cemetery Administration (NCA) will issue a draft solicitation on or about April 5, 1999, for upright granite headstone and flat granite grave marker requirements. The draft solicitation represents changes in the way granite headstones and grave marker requirements will be satisfied in new and ensuing contracts effective October 1, 1999, through September 30, 2000. The resulting contracts may also contain two 1-year options to extend the terms of the contracts through September 30, 2002. The draft solicitation incorporates changes to the specifications, packaging and shipping requirements, delivery times and shipping terms. NCA is interested in feedback and comments from private industry on the draft soliciation. Please note this is a draft solicitation only. Sealed bids in response to the draft solicitation are not required.
