Notice of Contract Action- The Hanscom AFB Fire Department intends to purchase, through a lease to own program, a Medium Sized Rescue Truck (MRT). The Commercial Item Description is as follows: A commercial four man cab and chassis with utility body, diesel engine driven, automatic transmisson, four wheel drive MRT. The MRT is intended to stow and transport forcible entry and rescue equipment for hazardous materials, clean-up, and for structrual, automative and aircraft occupant rescue, in both on and off road environments. The MRT shall be an assembly of commercially available components and shall be equipped with commercially available tools and equipment. The required five year lease will be awarded with funding in oue year incriments, exercised as four options to the basic first year lease. The award will be made in the aggregate i.e. the vendor must supply the MRT and finance the lease arrangement required by the Government.
