The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation and disposal necessary for the replacement of decking and bracing of a timber access pier, removal of a timber floating dock, pile driving, installation of a concrete floating dock and incidental related work. (NOTE, SOLE SOURCE ON CONCRETE FLOATS BY BELLINGHAM MARINE formerly CONCRETE FLOATATION SYSTEMS, INC.) Work is located at USCG GROUP MORICHES, East Moriches, NY (Suffolk County). Work consists of removal of 69' x 8' timber floating dock and associated 20' x 4' timber gangway. Installation of four (4) new concrete filled steel pipe piles. Installation of new 72' x 9.5' concrete floating dock (supplied by BELLINGHAM MARINE) and an associated new 20' x 4' aluminum gangway. Repairs to adjacent fixted timber pier include replacement of twenty five (25) deck planks, replacement of twelve (12) plastic pile protective caps and replacement of several bracing members both above and below water. Diving and pile driving / pile jetting operations WILL BE REQUIRED. Permits have been applied for by USCG and are pending. SIC: IS 1629. Performance period is one hundred twenty (120) calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. PAYMENT AND PERFORMANCE BONDS REQUIRED IF BID IS OVER $100,000.
