R -- TRANSCRIPTION SERVICES SOL RFP 600-124-99 DUE 061499 POC Ronald Ferrer, (562) 961-8062 This is a consolidated solicitation to provide commercial Transcription Services to two participating facilities within VISN 22: VA Long Beach Healthcare System and Loma Linda VA Medical Center. The Contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, materials, supplies and equipment (unless specified otherwise), and shall plan, schedule, coordinate and assure effective, timely performance of all services herein. Required turnaround time ranges from 4 hours for STAT reports and 24 hours for routine reports. Transcription services are required 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, and require immediate access to Contractor personnel by telephone (not an answering service). Transcription services shall be performed at the Contractor's place of business, outside the premises of the VA facilities. The estimated number of lines of transcription is 3.8 million per year. Reports will be transcribed for various departments, including Health Information Management Service, Patholoy and Laboratory, Radiologyand Nuclear Medicine. The contract shall be for one base year, with the Government having the option to exercise four one year periods. The solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business concerns.
