E-MAIL: Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, sd13@nswc.navy.mil. 66 -- REVERBERATION CHAMBER WITH ATTACHED ANTEROOM The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren Laboratory Procurement Division is implementing Electronic commerce (EC) in the acquisition area, therefore synopsis and resulting solicitations with any applicable amendments will be available on the World Wide Web at http://www.nswc.navy.mil/supply under Procurement Division. After 1 October 1997, solicitations and amendments will only be available at the above Web sites. Hard copies WILL NOT be provided. Vendors should regularly access the NSWCDD Web site to ensure that they have downloaded all amendments. For solicitations issued after 31 March 1998, DOD will no longer award contracts to contractors not registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) data base. Registration may be done by assessing the CCR Web site at http://www.acq.osd.mil/ec. Registration may be done via dial up modem at (614) 692-6788 (User ID: ccrpub; Password: pub2ccri). Any certified value added network (VAN) can be used for registration. A paper registration form may be obtained from the DOD Electronic Commerce Information Center at 1 (800) 334-3414. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, has a requirement to build a Reverberation Chamber with an attached Anteroom at NSWCDD. Maximum dimensions for the Reverberation Chamber are 17.5' x 18.5' x 11.5' and maximum dimensions for the Anteroom are 7.5' x 17.5'. The Reverberation Chamber and Anteroom shall include the following: 1) a RF system, 2) a computer controlled E-field probe system, 3) a computer for controlling the synthesizer, tuner, and probe system, 4) a software package, and 5) any necessary modifications to the existing power panel. This procurement will also include an Option for an Amplifier with a +57dBm output from 100 MHz to 1000 MHz. Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) will include a receive antenna, power meters, RF couplers, and amplifiers above 1000 MHz necessary for calibration. Electrical power for hook-up will be available at the installation site. Drawings will be provided with the solicitation; however, final design shall be as per drawings submitted by the contractor in response to the solicitation. A site visit will be held. A best value fixed price type contract is anticipated. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be released on or about 14 May 1999 with proposals due 60 days after release date.
