Division of the Ogden Air Logistics Center seeks sources to provide
engineering and management services for the AGM-65 Maverick Missile.
The AGM-65A/B/D/E/F/G Maverick Missile, manufactured to date only by
Hughes Missile System Company and Raytheon Co., is an accurate, guided,
rocket-propelled, air-to-ground missile designed to strike pre-selected
field targets. The Maverick D/F/G model is an infrared guided missile.
Raytheon merged with Hughes Missile Systems Company in January 1998,
and is currently the only producer of the missile. This potential
contract is a follow on to a contract previously held by Raytheon Co.
that expired in August 1998. The scope of work is to provide technical
support on AGM/TGM-65 D/F/G's through management of the functional,
allocated, and product baselines for the WS-319A, B, D, E, F, and G
tactical and training missiles and related support equipment. This
effort would also include systems engineering, systems safety,
configuration management, aircraft integration, on-call technical
support and logistical and technical support of Air Force, Navy, and
Foreign Military Sales (FMS) operational units. Potential interested
sources should describe their capability and experience to provide
these services, highlighting technical facilities (including simulation
and validation facilities), expertise in maintaining weapon system
configuration baselines and documentation, and technical staff
capability. This synopsis is for information purposes only to identify
potential offerors. This sources sought announcement does not
constitute an RFP and does not obligate the government in any way to
purchase any of the potential solutions offered. Further, it does not
commit the government to pay for any proposal costs in response to the
