The work includes furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, permits, fees, and services required to construct on-site and off-site improvements as indicated on applicable plans and specifications. The facility will be a single story, steel framed, slab on grade building of approximately 19,400 square feet. The facility will have a masonry veneer and stucco system, with a single-ply membrane roof. The site is located on SC Highway 707, 1/2 mile south of SC Highway 926. The estimated cost of the project is between $1,600,000 and $1,800,000 with construction completion within 270 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. Contractors must have all required state and local licenses for this type of work in the above-stated area. The Mid-Atlantic Facilities Service Office, with a goal of 7% for minority subcontracting and 2% for woman-owned subcontracting, encourages subcontracting opportunities for minority and woman-owned businesses. Offeror must provide, at time proposal is due, documentation from bonding agent stating offeror's bonding capability. Performance bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price and payment bonds in the amount of 40% of the contract price will be required from the successful offeror within forty-eight (48) hours after notification of award.
