indefinite-quantities contract for road and pedestrian bridge design
and other transportation structural design work. The predominate
geographic area includes but is not limited to California. Typical
project construction values are less than $500,000. Specific Work
Orders will be negotiated as needed to provide engineering design and
support services necessary to prepare the final design and prepare the
plans, specifications, and estimate. Contractor may be required to
prepare the final design and prepare the plans, specifications, and
estimate. Contractor may be required to produce proposal drawings that
incorporate all required geotechnical, hydraulic and other analysis
for each structure. Agency coordination document preparation and other
public/agency involvement may be required. All services shall be
performed in accordance with AASHTO policy, Forest Service procedures,
and/or specific project requirements. Plans and drawings shall be
delivered in AUTOCAD format unless otherwise noted. Guaranteed minimum
of $10,000 and maximum of $100,000 of work during each contract
period. Contract shall be awarded for one year, with two-one year
Government options to extend. Firms having qualifications to perform
the service are invited to submit three copies each of a completed
SF254 and SF 255. There is no solicitation package to request.
Selection will be conducted by using the submitted forms. Submittals
must be received no later than June 15, 1999. See Notes 24 and 25 for
Selection Criteria. Additional criteria: 1. Contractor to provide a
sample of design calculations and drawings from a bridge project with
a construction value of $500,000 or less that occurred within the past
two years; 2. Proximity of contractor's facilities to Forest Service
