DES is responsible for functions including, but not limited to, management of noise, radiation sources, water and wastewater, solid waste, National Environmental Policy Act documentation, air emissions documentation and prevention, storage tanks, fish and wildlife, land resources, cultural resources, a captive bison herd, recreational access, hazardous material and waste; personnel and equipment safety; operation of geographic information system, the installation's restoration program, environmental and safety education and training programs and environmental and safety monitoring programs; performance of pollution prevention opportunity assessments, spill responses and Emergency Planning Community Right to Know Act documentation. The solicitation will be in support of an OMB Circular A-76 Cost Comparison study and may or may not result in the award of a contract.
