V -- MANAGEMENT AND OPERATION OF COMERCIAL TRAVEL OFFICE The Government intends to issue an extension to existing contract, F01600-92-D0075 to Scheduled Airlines Traffic Offices (SATO), 1005 North Glebe Road, Arlington, VA 22201, to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items or services necessary to perform management and operations of commercial travel offices located at Maxwell AFB, Maxwell AFB-Gunter Annex, and Dannelly Air National Guard (ANG) Facility, Montgomery Alabama. The period of performance is from 01 Jun 99 until the services are absorbed into the DoD-wide Commercial Travel Office (CTO) contract scheduled to be phased in after April 2000 and before 30 November 2000. The DoD-wide contract will be solicited under full and open competition. SATO is the one and only contractor who is in place and ARC-licensed to provide temporary services in a timely fashion without disruption until the requirment is rolled into the DoD-wide CTO contract. Award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition, due to the very short period of performance.
