NOTICE OF INTENT TO NEGOTIATE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNA-DAVIS. Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with the University of California-Davis for the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary (CINMS). Purpose of contract is to perform brown pelican breeding success, post-breeding distribution and abundance study, and habitat use of coastal roosts in California of the brown pelican. Principal investigators at UC-Davis has studied the California Brown Pelican on the West Coast of North America for approximately 25 years and has authorized recovery plans for the Fish & Wildlife Service. Sources with similar qualifications and experience may submit written requests for the solicitation. Provide qualifications and experience with requests for solicitation, simple requests for the solicitation will not be honored.
