The General Services Administration (GSA) is soliciting offers for the removal and replacement of the roof on the U.S. Post Office and Federal Building, 500 West Main Street, Tupelo, Mississippi. The building is three stories with half the roof on a one-story level and the remainder on the third story. The project includes the roof for the penthouse, stairwell and front canopy. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment to remove the built-up roof on concrete deck and replace the roofs with modified bitumen roofing with three-ply fiberglass felt, insulation, and replace all reglets, coping, gravel stop, flashing and metal trim. The contractor shall provide the material manufacturers standard commercial warranty for the roof or a warranty of at least 10 years, whichever is longer. The successful offeror will be required to acquire roofing materials from one of the contractors on Federal Supply Schedule 56, Part IV, Construction and Building Materials (item no. 563-4). The GSA Contracting Officer will supply the successful offeror with an authorization to purchase materials off the Federal Supply Schedule. In order to be considered for award of the contract for roof replacement, offerors must be a currently qualified installer certified by the manufacturer (the FSS Schedule Contractor). The estimated range for the project is $100,000 to $250,000. The contract will call for completion within 60 days after award of the contract. This solicitation is set aside for small business.
