Protection Agency intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with
University Research Glassware (URG), 116 S. Merritt Mill Road, Chapel
Hill, NC 27516, for two Versatile Air Pollution Samplers which include
the following sampling system, necessary change out parts and
consumables: Outdoor Air Sampling Pump, Quiet Indoor Air Sampling Pump,
2 stage, #30 2.5mm @ 10 LPM Aluminum Cyclone, #30, 10 mm @ 15 LPM
aluminum cyclone, Mass Flow accumulator, VAPS body, 2 jets, 4 delrin
plugs, 4 seal rings, insulated sampling box to hold one VAPS system,
computerized sampling pump, dual channel, 3 flow, 110 volt, VAPS inlet,
32 LPM, teflon coated, downtube for VAPS inlet, connects to body, #47
Filter pack, Teflon w/female adapter, single stage, #47 Teflon filter
pack, #47 Filter pack, 1 stage, VAPS PUF sampler 80 mm x 32 mm, PUF
adapter, Teflon #30 cap with male pipe thread and o-ring groove, #30
Annular Denuder, 3 channel, stainless steel, 150 mm and #30 Annular
Denuder, 3 channel, stainless steel,242 mm. EPA currently has a total
of three (3) URG Versatile Air Pollution Samplers (VAPs). Two
additional identical units are needed to meet project requirements. The
units must be identical so that comparable data is collected throughout
the study effort using the same technology and methodology in order to
utilize a single comprehensive standard operating procedures to meet
QA specifications. Parts between samplers used in this study must be
identical so that interchangeability is insured in the event of
equipment malfunction. The Environmental Protection Agency anticipates
an award of a fixed price purchase order using Simplified Acquisition
Procedures. This procurement is a small business set-aside. Interested
parties who believe they can provide the required items must submit
along with prices, item descriptions with detail information to show
that the items offered are fully compatible and interchangeable with
the existing URG equipment within fifteen (15) days of the date of this
announcement to the Attention of Starry M. Jones, U. S. Environmental
Protection Agency, Contracts Management Division, MD-33, 79 T. W.
Alexander Drive, Research Triangle Park, NC 27711. The intent of this
synopsis is to determine if any source(s) exist and, therefore, no RFQ
is available. Consequently, any response(s) failing to provide the
aforementioned data but instead choosing to merely submit a routine
letter requesting of a copy of the RFQ will be ignored. No telephone or
