S -- CONSOLIDATED FACILITIES MANAGEMENT SERVICES SOL NAMA99N8P0018 POC Contract Specialist, Joyce Herbert, 301-713-6755x229 Pursuant to authority of 44 U.S.C. 2112(a) and Public Law 89-169, the NARA, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the University of Michigan, for Consolidated Facilities Management & Utilities at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library, 1000 Beal Avenue, Ann Arbor, MI 48109-2114. The Library is located within the university grounds and the building is owned by the University with perpetual use granted to the National Archives to operate the facility as a Presidential archival depository. Under the terms of the agreement of July 31, 1978, the University is responsible for maintenance of the building. The Library is a part of the University physical plant and receives utilities and mechanical support from the University's main distribution system. Period: of the contract will be o/a 7-1-99 through 6-30-00, with four (4) additional one (1) year options. The government has determined that there is only one responsible source.
