COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF MAY 13,1999 PSA#234565 -- NOTICE TO VALUED SUPPLIERS OF NAVAL MEDICAL CENTER PORTSMOUTH
(NMCP). Under DOD procurement regulations, NMCP is required to use as
its primary procurement method a Prime Vendor (PV) and the associated
Distribution and Pricing Agrements (DAPA). If you choose to participate
in this voluntary program, contact Defense Supply Center Philadelphia
(DSCP). For the Medical/Surgical Prime Vendor Program, contact Mark
Levin on 215-737-8740 or Anne Polimeni on 215-737-2149. For the
Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor Program, contact Commander Fred Beal on
215-737-5744. You will be provided the information needed to submit a
DAPA form and to negotiate a standard regional or national price with
DSCP. After your items have been added to a DAPA, the NMCP medical
logistics staff can place orders against your DAPA with our PV
contractor. NMCP, along with other military medical treatment
facilities is moving towards regional managed care product
standardization agreements. In order to be considered as a candidate
for either Command (NMCP) or regional product standardization, your
pharmaceutical or medical surgical items must be on a PV DAPA. Point of
contact at NMCP is Lisa Price who can be reached at 757-953-5737.
