A -- INTRODUCTION: Air Force Research Laboratory, Materials Directorate (AFRL/MLPO ) solicits research proposals (technical and cost) on a research effort titled " High Performance Long Wavelength MCT for Space Applications". The purpose of this effort is to develop materials and processing solutions which will correct deficiencies that currently limit the performance and production of focal plane arrays for space-based surveillance. This material is needed for the Development of Advanced Very Long Wavelength Infrared Detectors (DAVID) program. Innovative solutions are needed as performance, uniformity, and reproducibility are key deficiencies in the current Air Force program.
