US Army Communications-Electronic Command (CECOM) Acquisition Center intends to award sole source modification to existing Contract DAAB07-98-C-D501. The contract modification shall extend the period of performance an additional six months and allows for the correction of any product deficiencies found during the Government testing and analysis of the VHF 5-Port Multiplexer. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Only One Responsible Source, Xetron, under authority of Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(b)(1). It is not feasible that another contractor, other than Xetron Corporation, can gain the technical expertise necessary to correct deficiencies within the scheduled timeframe.
