Medical Center, Albany, NY is seeking qualified Architect-Engineering
Firms to provide Multi-Discipline Design services for various
renovation projects. Design services will include observations,
reviewing existing data, calculations, preparing drawings and
specifications, construction period duties and site visits. The
standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this Acquisition is
#8712 Architectural Services. The A/E Firm must have in-house
capability to provide architectural, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical
disciplines including supervisors, designers, drafters, specification
writers, typists and estimators. It is preferred that firms have a
qualified Industrial Hygienist on staff, or, at a minimum, availability
through subcontract arrangement, in the event that asbestos is
identified in the area of renovation. Interested Firms must have
working offices within a 90-mile radius of the Albany, NY City limits.
The Government intends to award contract for the base period of July
1, 1999 through June 30, 2000, with four (4)subsequent yearly renewal
options. The following Evaluation Criteria will be used during the A/E
selection process; (l) Specialized experience of the firm to perform
the work required; (2) Capacity of the firm to perform the work within
required time frames; (3) Past performance; (4) Specific experience
and qualifications of the proposed personnel assigned to the Project
Design Team; (5) Geographic location of the firm's working office in
relation to the renovation site; (6) Demonstrated success in
prescribing the use of recovered materials, and using waste reduction
and energy efficiency in facility design, (7) Reputation and standing
of the firm and its principal officials with respect to professional
performance, general management and cooperativeness, and, (8) Record of
significant claims against the firm because of improper or incomplete
architectural and engineering services. Firms desiring consideration
must submit Standard Form 254 and Standard Form 255, by Close of
Business June 11, 1999. Interested Firms shall submit appropriate data
as described in Numbered Note 24. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS.
