COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF MAY 14,1999 PSA#2346B-REQUEST FOR INFORMATION PERTINENT TO COMPANY Y2K COMPLIANCE 17. The
US Coast Guard Aircraft Repair & Supply Center is developing a Business
Continuity Contingency Plan (BCCP), to establish, test and document
procedures needed in case of any disruption of services and utilities
that could be caused by Y2K. We are striving to have our plan developed
by June and fully tested no later than August of this year. Our ability
to communicate with vendors regarding the shipment of material,
tracking and payment for material is critical to our BCCP. Our payment
process encompasses the issuance of an order, shipment of the material
to the contractor's facility, receipt of material at the U.S. Coast
Guard activity, matching the invoice with the receipt, and payment. We
are asking each contractor currently doing business with ARSC to
provide the name and phone number of a point of contact who can address
their corporate capabilities, state of readiness for the impending Y2K
uncertainties, as well as their contingency plans, by 31 May 1999. The
e-mail address for this response is arscy2k@arsc.uscg.mil. If you do
not have access to e-mail, fax responses to PO Kristine Kreider,
Procurement Support Branch, US Coast Guard Aircraft Repair & Supply
Center, Elizabeth City, NC 27909 at (252) 335-6840. Questions may be
directed to PO Kreider at (252) 335-6613 or Mr. Gus Holzmiller at (252)
335-6436. Posted 05/12/99 (W-SN330531). Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0465 19990514\SP-0002.MSC)
