The Department of Veterans Affairs VA Medical Center, Albany, NY intends to purchase as sole source a Nellcor Puritan Bennett Polysomnoraphy System (NPB SANDMAN SYSTEM) that is a 100% NT System with the ability to allow data collection from 2-5 beds simultaneously utilizing a 21" screen with minimum resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels, allow up to 100 feet placement of amplifiers from data collection computer, and allow reference any channel with the software during data collection. The system must be 100% paperless and operate completely within Windows NT (Any utilization of UNIX, DOS, or Windows 95(97) is unacceptable). The system must allow preset user-defined configuration for record review and scoring. The system must allow "batch" editing of scored events and must allow re-referencing of EEG leads during acquisition. The system must not require any proprietary electrodes or interfaces.
