This synopsis is a modification to the original synopsis published 19 Apri1 1999. The following information is added: All potential offerors are advised that past performance will be an evaluation factor. The remainder of the synopsis is unchanged: The Fleet and Industrial Support Center, Puget Sound (FISCPS) is soliciting for tin-plated flex hose and leader assemblies in accordance with NAVSEA drawing 5944487 and its associated drawings in support of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Keyport. The solicitation will be set up in a stepladder pricing format for a base quantity with 4 option quantities. The base quantity will be for 520 units. The option quantities will be for a quantity of up to 1,000 units each. Five first articles will be required from unproven sources, to be delivered within 180 days of contract award. The base quantity delivery will be within 120 days after first article approval. Option one will be exercised within approximately 365 days after first article approval (FAA). Option two will be exercised within approximately 730 days after FAA. Option three will be exercised within approximately 1095 days after FAA. Option four will be exercised within approximately 1,460 days after FAA. Notes 12 and 26 apply. The contract will have inspection and acceptance at origin, with shipment of the units to various Government sites via GBL. The first articles will have initial inspection at source and acceptance at destination. The solicitation will state that an evaluation cost will be added to all offerors that require the submission of first articles to factor in the Government cost of testing. The contract will include security requirements, as the manufacture requires access to classified documents and other restricted data. Past performance will be evaluated, and compliance to the ISO-9000 quality matrix may be required. All responsible sources may submit offer/bis which shall be considered by FISC Puget Sound.
