TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER IMPROVEMENTS BRIEFING The US Army Aviation And Missile Command, Missile Research, Development, And Engineering Center (MRDEC), Office Of Research And Technology Applications (ORTA), Huntsville, AL, In Accordance With The Federal Technology Transfer Act Of 1986, 15 USC 3701-3715, And Other Such Technology Transfer Improvements, Is Interested In Finding A Corporate Partner To Develop, Exploit, Transfer Technology To And Commercialize Certain Technologies Having Applications In The Sporting Ammunitions Industry. Specifically, MRDEC Is Interested In Entering Into A Cooperative Research And Development Agreement (CRDA) To Further Develop Certain Lethality Simulation Software Currently Available Within MRDEC That Has Applicability For Game Bird Hunters In Determining Their Probability To Obtain A Hit And A Kill When Hunting The Canadian Goose Or Other Fowl. This Effort Is Anticipated To Produce Copyright Software That May Be Sold To The Public To Compare Ammunition Types As Well As Demonstrate A Hunter's Shot Improvement Using Special Ammunition; And Patentable Design(s) For Special Sporting Munitions That Will Minimize Crippling. A Briefing Discussing The Current MRDEC Software Simulation Capabilities That Apply To This Endeavor As Well As Other Related Subject Material Will Be Conducted At Redstone Arsenal, Bldg. 5400, Huntsville, Alabama On Or About 17 June 1999. Partners Must Be Willing To Actively Participate In A Research And Development Effort, Provide Technical Data For Their Ammunition (Velocity Vs Range, Shot Size, Temperature At Time Of Tests, Altitude, And Relative Humidity ), Provide Resources (Manpower And Funding), Demonstrate Market Penetration And Capture Capabilities, Pay Royalties For Exclusive Intellectual Property Rights.
