installation of a complete air cooled chiller and cooling coil system
to provide supplemental supply air cooling for an existing air to air
type heat recovery unit. Major components of the system include: a)
Air-cooled scroll compressor chiller, nominal 10 ton; b) cooling coil
to fit in existing "heatex" heat recovery unit; c) pipe, fittings,
valves, insulation, hangers and other things necessary; d) power and
control electrical wiring. EXISTING EQUIPMENT: The existing heat
recovery unit is a "Heatex" air to air heat exchanger Model
RHXC-1A-18-7120. Supplier was Climate Sales, Inc., Milwaukee, WI.
Contractor is to verify space available for the cooling coil.
APPLICABLE CODE AND STANDARDS: a) Uniform Mechanical Code; b) Uniform
Building Code; c) National Electrical Code. DRAWINGS: Mechanical
drawings are symbolic and diagrammatic and we intended to show the
general scheme, equipment involved, and approximate locations of
materials and equipment. Because of the small scale of the drawings, it
is not possible to indicate all offsets, fittings an accessories, which
may be required. Furnish all fittings, anchors, values and accessories
as may be required. SUBMITTALS: a) Submit shop drawings and product
data in accordance with the specifications; b) Submittals shall include
the following: 1) dimensioned plan and elevation view drawings,
required clearances, and location of all field connections. 2) Summary
of all auxiliary utility requirements such as: electricity, water,
compressed air, etc. Summary shall indicate quality and quantity of
each required utility. 3) Single line schematic drawing of the power
field hookup requirements, indicating all items which are furnished. 4)
Schematic diagram of control system indicating points for field
interface/connection. 5) Diagram shall fully delineate field and
factory wiring. 6) Certification of factory run test of chiller unit
signed by company officer. 7) Installation manuals. INSTRUCTION
MANUALS: Upon substantial completion of this project, this Contractor
shall furnish to the Contracting Officer two (2) copies of a complete
manual fully describing the construction, installation, operation, and
maintenance of each piece of equipment and system installed under this
contract. Solicitation documents shall be available approximately
