The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materilas, tools, instruments, transportation, management and related work necessary for reforestation services. The objective is to reforest approximately ten (10) acres of limestone forest area on Tinian with tree species, preferable native or non-native fire retardant species where feasible. The primary resources concern area is reducing eroding sediment from entering stream channel. The primary goal is to establish adaptable species, which have the capability to modify the mircroenvironment to reforest depleted limestone forest that has been a cattle-grazing area. Approximately ninety percent of plants planted on this site are expected to survive after one-year from the time of planting. Plants that did not survive within the ninety percent shall be replaced at no additional cost to the Government. The performance period for this contract is 18 months from date of award.
