The Army requires a firm fixed price construction contract to Install Communication Equipment at Fort Stewart, Georgia. The work includes, but is not necessarily restricted to the following items: (1) Furnish and install 2 each Rellance com/tec # R399 series 100 pair protectors with a 24 AWG, 50 foot stub and 200 each 5-pin protectors (or equal); (2) Furnish and install approximately 350 feet of 4-4" duct; (3) furnish and install approximately 750 feet of 1200 pair, 24 AWG, PE-89 filled direct buried telephone cable; (4) furninsh and install 2 each 4'X 8" X 3/4" plywood backboards; (5) furnish and install 36 each R-66 nonprotected R-66 blocks; (6) furnish and install approximately 650 feet of 24 strand, single mode fiber optic cable: (7) Furnish and install one each LSC1U-024/5 Lightguide distribution unit; (8) Furnish and install one each Performed vault closure for 1200 pair telephone cable; (9) furnish and install approximately 60 feet of 900 pair, 24 AWG inside telephone cable; (10) Furnish and install 12 each Cook Electric C551 100 pair protectors with 5-pin protectors; (11) Make all necessary splices and connections; and (12) All material shall be new unless otherwise indicated in this specification. Performance time is 60 days after receipt of Notice To Proceed. SIC is 1731. Project is UNRESTRICTED. All responsible businesses may submit a bid that will be considered.
