The Navy intends to solicit and negotiate a five-year, indefinite delivery, requirements contract to acquire System Technical Support (STS) functions for selected FBM motor transportation equipment. The contractor will be required to conduct technical evaluations to correct known or potential deficiencies, develop and maintain program management schedules, design and fabricate prototype parts or equipment, refurbish equipment with new parts, conduct economic analyses, accomplish cost reductions and analyze program alternatives. The actual work to be performed shall be governed by delivery orders. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will allow for both fixed-price and cost-reimbursement type delivery orders. Inspection procedures and shipping terms will be negotiated on the individual delivery orders. The solicitation will be posted on NSWC Crane's homepage at http://www.crane.navy.mil/supply/homepage.htm. Negotiations will be held on an other than full and open competition basis with Radian, Incorporated of Alexandria, VA in accordance with FAR 6.302-1.
