The following questions have been asked. Answers are provided
immediately after question. 1. Question: Are the tanks vertical or
horizontal? Answer: horizontal 2. Question: Who is supplying the
bladder, relief valve and sight tube? Answer: The contractor is suppose
to supply these items. 3. Question: What size is the relief valve?
Answer: The relief valve (needs to meet NFPA Standards) and is 2 1/2".
4. Question: What system? Hangar? Answer: Foam system that supplies
building 751 and 753. The foam tanks are located in Bildings 748 and
758. Building 748 is the pump house located on Danforth Ave. 5.
Question: Sight tube? Answer: Sight tube is used to read level in the
tank. The size should be 1/2". 6. Question: Who manufactured the tank
and what size is it? Answer: The tank is made by Arrow tank company. It
has a 1,000 gallon tank. 7. Question: Test system? Full system test
through the ratio controllers? Hangar test with monitors? Can we allow
the foam to be dispersed into the drains? Does it need to be disposed
of at an approved facility? Answer: Test ratio controller
proportioning. No foam discharge in the hangar area. We have a recovery
system located in the pump house and one at Building 758. 8. Question:
3% AFFF? Answer: Yes for 3% AFFF. The Government will provide the
foam. 9. Question: Who will move the equipment and protect the facility
from the test? Answer: No equipment will need to be moved. We are not
able to discharge in the hangar area. 10. Question: Are there any
hydraulic cals available? Drawings? Answer: There are no hydraulic cals
or drawings available. 11. Question: What is the flow rate? System?
Answer: The contractor installing the system should know the flow rate
for the system. The contractor needs to test the bladder for leaks and
any changes made to the system. NOTE: We have a recovery system through
out the hangers. Quotations should be submitted to 74 Nealy Ave, Room
308. Deadline for quotations will be 10 Jun 1999 at 4:00PM. Interested
